ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING 

The WISE Women of Blair County is holding its annual membership meeting on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the fabulous Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA), 1210 11th Avenue, Altoona with a
reception at 5:30pm and the business meeting starting at 6pm.

Current WISE members are welcome to attend to get an update on current activities, member events and the financial status of the
organization. Our featured speaker is well known and loved Carolyn Donaldson, Vice President, Community Engagement & Relationship Development Officer of Kish Bank.

Ms. Donaldson’s message “is one of community-building, outreach and engagement”. “Her professional and personal goals work to match the community spirit of each of us contributing to help the greater
good.” She currently serves 5 counties in Central Pennsylvania where she directs philanthropic and community engaging events, programs and sponsorships of the bank. She coordinates community service work of the nearly 300 Kish Bank employees. Carolyn had a previous role at WPSU, a Penn State Outreach Service, where she led in Central PA their Community Outreach Engagement efforts. From 1995 to 2016, she served as a news reporter and anchor at WTAJ-TV which covered Central PA. This is where most of us met her. She serves on several boards including the Altoona Symphony, WPSU, Special Olympics PA, the Community Café at St. Andrews and as a Trustee of Mount Aloysius College. She is the proud mother of 2 amazing Penn State graduate daughters and is the grandmother of two amazing grandchildren.

BAKER MANSION MEMBERS TEA 
 
The WISE Women Membership committee invites you to join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2pm at the beautiful and historical Baker Mansion (address is 3419 Oak Lane, Altoona, PA) for their tea service. As a special treat, we have local historian/veteran/Executive Film Producer of “Blair County: A People’s History”, Julia Schokker, speaking to us about “Pioneering Women of Blair County”. The cost is $25 a person for a savory and sweet food presentation with the amazing Baker Mansion Tea Ladies serving us. You are welcome to bring a non-member of WISE Women friend to this event.  
 
Parking is available along Oak Lane by the fence around the football field across from the mansion driveway. The tearoom is located in the basement on the left side of the house- there will be someone there to check you in and show you where to join us. We hope you will join us as the food and tea are amazing.
